概要

Sustainable development seeks to meet humankind's basic needs in housing, food, drinking water, air and health while protecting the life-sustaining system of the planet. The way to achieve sustainable development is to make proper use of the environmental monitoring system to warn us of the degradation in our environment, so that we can flexibly use the so-called "Green Technologies" to bring us a better and more promising world. Pembangunan kelestarian bertujuan untuk memenuhi keperluan asas manusia sambil melindungi ekosistem Bumi yang kini lebih fokus dalam keselamatan persekitaran alam berbanding ke asalnya. Cara sesuai untuk mencapai matlamat tersebut adalah menggunakan sistem pemantauan persekitaran yang sering mengingati kita ancaman kemusnahan persekitaran supaya mendorongkan penggunaan “Teknologi-teknologi Hijau” secara fleksibel dan memjaminkan dunia yang lebih indah. 永续发展试图满足人类对住房,食物,饮用水,空气,健康等方面的基本需求,同时?;さ厍虻纳窒低?。过去永续发展目标以政策过程为主,现在永续转型则投注在更安全的世界环境。实现永续发展的方法是正确利用环境监测系统,以警示我们环境的退化,使我们能灵活应用所谓的「绿色技术」(Green Technologies),带给我们更有希望的美好世界。

课程目标

The students will learn how scientists and engineers can deal with sustainable development issues related to fragile ecosystems and the restoration of human livelihoods through the use of early warning systems for environmental degradation. They will understand the ideas of a sustainable community and their roles in assessing the risks of implementing the sustainable development goals.

Pemahaman pelajar dalam isu-isu berkaitan dengan terlebih penggunaan dan pertingkatan pertumbuhan penduduk memerlukan pengintegrasian pemahaman sistem bumi dan pembangunan manusia supaya dunia boleh bergerak ke arah kehidupan lestari.Cara menangani isu-isu berkaitan dengan ekosistem yang rapuh dan pemuliharaan kehidupan manusia akan dipelajari melalui sistem ramalan degradasi persekitaran,membenarkan pemahaman idea komuniti lestari dan peranannya dalam penilaian risiko mecapai matlamat.

为使学生了解与过度消费和人口增长有关问题,需整合认识地球系与人类发展,方得以迈向永续的生活。学生将了解科学家和工程师如何透过使用环境退化预警系统,处理与脆弱生态系统和恢复人类生计有关的永续发展议 题。学生将了解永续社区的想法,及其在实践永续发展目标的风险评估中所占的角色。

课程内容

The course will offer the students basic understandings of the problems that resulted from the realization of the concepts of sustainable development. Environmental science and the monitoring tools of engineering practice may be helpful for applying these thoughts to the solution of the whole sustainable development.

上课形式

This program consists of six main units, and every unit is composed of several small units. Every unit offers a short clip which is about 10-30 minutes. Besides, practices and online discussion will also be offered in every unit in order to make sure whether the learners understand the course content or not. Through the standard of the assessment, please refer to the “Rating criteria description.”
